Sessions

Monday, September 23 |12:00 p.m.— 1:00 p.m. ET

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has catalyzed over $200 billion in clean energy investments, placing the US on the right path towards decarbonization. However, challenges remain.

Join us at The Hub Live to discuss the pivotal role of collaboration across government, industry, and finance in driving the transition to a green economy. The discussion will consider the comprehensive financing solutions put forth by the IRA, how the industry is innovating to implement decarbonization solutions and the role of financial services in mobilizing capital for clean energy.

Tuesday, September 24 | 2:30 p.m. — 4:00 p.m. ET

Faced with the intertwined challenges of climate change and nature loss, businesses urgently need to take action to transform their operations and value chain. While 83% of Fortune Global 500 companies have climate change targets, only 5% of companies have assessed their impacts on nature, with less than 1% understanding their dependencies.

Join us, and the World Economic Forum, to unpack sector-specific priority actions to halt and reverse nature loss by 2030. We will identify key barriers to implementation and uptake and explore opportunities for collaboration within and across four key sectors: mining and metals, automotive, offshore wind and ports.

As the world intensifies its efforts to combat climate change, understanding shifts in the mobility sector is increasingly important in achieving sustainability goals. The Oliver Wyman Forum has been closely evaluating these shifts since the release of its initial Mobility Value Pools report in 2022, developed in partnership with UC Berkeley. This event will present the latest growth projections for shared and digital mobility services through 2035, highlighting their impacts on various mobility industries.

Join the Oliver Wyman Forum for a discussion on how innovative mobility solutions can contribute to sustainable urban development and significant reductions in carbon emissions. We’ll delve into our latest research and hear critical perspectives from senior industry leaders and trailblazers.

Join us for a discussion on the evolution of the US real estate market in the context of a changing climate. When perils hit, homeowners, (re)insurers, banks, investors, and state and federal governments are bearing the consequences and costs. As the effects of climate change cause greater losses, how will this burden sharing evolve in light of state-level policies, insurance market distortions, and government back-stops? Can the current system hold?

The circular economy presents a critical opportunity for meeting our climate goals. Transitioning to renewable energy and increasing energy efficiency can only help get us halfway there, but the other half will come from how we produce and consume products.

Join us and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation to explore actionable circular economy solutions that can offer significant climate and economic opportunities. We will build on insights from our latest report that finds that shifting to circular solutions could reduce up to 16% of emissions and unlock up to $1.5 trillion in new revenue and economic value in the United States.
