COP29, the 29th annual United Nations Climate Conference, represents a pivotal moment for global climate action. This year’s conference tackled pressing challenges and pushed for more ambitious goals with a keen focus on climate finance.
Held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from November 11 to 22, 2024, the conference was themed “In Solidarity for a Green World". It focused on investing in a liveable planet for all and securing a new goal on climate finance to ensure that every country has the means to take stronger climate action.

Newsweek’s Pillars Of The Green Transition series brings together experts across the worlds of sustainability, science, and clean technology to identify and explain emerging trends in the climate challenge.
