Phil is a key leader within Oliver Wyman Vector, serving as the office leader for our Haywards Heath location. He also serves as the accountable manager, and continuing airworthiness manager for our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO).
His passion for aircraft engineering was ignited at six years old when he visited the hangars at Gatwick and witnessed a VC 10 undergoing maintenance. This experience inspired him to pursue a career in the field, and he joined British Airways as an apprentice engineer at the age of 17. With more than 40 years of industry experience, Phil has become a seasoned professional specializing in Continuing Airworthiness Management, Consultancy, and Training.
Aviation has always sought to learn from its mistakes, and the regulations reflect this. It is crucial that the next generations understand the errors their predecessors made so that we don’t regress and repeat mistakes we thought we had eradicated
Phil has strong leadership and negotiation skills. He is adept at high-level analysis and effectively applying theoretical knowledge to solve complex problems. His in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements allows him to assist clients in solving their challenges whilst ensuring that compliance is maintained.
Outside of work, Phil enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling to new destinations, and experiencing different cultures. Phil is also a keen golfer and is still on the quest to get his handicap down into single figures.
