John is a Managing Partner and Head of the Oliver Wyman Forum, the firm’s platform for engaging key business, public policy, and societal leaders to act on shared challenges and create positive impact in society. John also founded and continues to lead Oliver Wyman’s Private Capital business, working with leading Private Equity funds and alternative asset managers on business model strategy, deal generation, diligence, and value creation. He has over 25 years of consulting experience advising the boards and senior executives of the world’s leading private and public sector organizations on strategy, organizational effectiveness, risk management, and M&A.

John is a board member of Safe Horizon (the largest victims’ services agency in the United States) and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), Chair of the London Data Commission, a member of Young Presidents’ Organization, Wall Street Journal CEO Council, MMC Advantage Advisory Council and the Investment Committees of Duke Royalty and Asta Capital Partners. He previously served on the boards of the Partnership for New York City, MMC Securities Limited, and the European IPO Taskforce convened by EVCA, European Issuers, and FESE. A regular conference speaker and author of articles, John has also contributed to numerous government and supranational taskforces on long term investing, securities and derivatives trading, fair and efficient markets, gender diversity, the future of cities, and modernization of government.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, John worked in Equities at SG Warburg. He has a master’s degree in economics from Cambridge University, where he was a Senior Scholar.
