Kuhan is a partner in our Consumer and Industrials Practice, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
He advises clients across the energy, utilities, transportation, and telecommunications industries, together with the public sector.
Kuhan started his career in consulting and has advised businesses and government-linked companies in Southeast Asia, US, Europe, and Middle East. He has also held roles in the corporate and commercial domains, including the CEO of a private venture capital fund, as well as the head of strategy in Malaysia’s second largest telecommunications carrier and Malaysia's largest subscription satellite television company respectively.
I always look to grasp what our clients desire versus what they need. Working in concert with clients, putting your skin in the game by being hands-on and not shying away from details, and helping entrench change at all levels of the client organization set good versus great advisors apart
Kuhan holds an MBA with distinction from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a first-class honors Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical (Aeronautical) Engineering.
Outside of work, Kuhan is actively involved in several alumni associations. He previously served as the president of the Malaysia MIT Club, and still plays an active role in the executive committee of the Club. He is also involved in the Ivy League and Top Schools' Alumni Alliance Association and the Khazanah Scholarship Alumni Association (KSAA). In addition to mentoring scholars within KSAA, he serves as a business coach to MBA students at the Asia School of Business, which collaborates strategically with MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
