He believes that risk management is not just a regulatory requirement, but a source of competitive advantage and value creation for the banking industry. He has demonstrated this through his decade long career working with leading financial institutions across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, where he has helped them enhance their risk management and financial planning capabilities, leveraging data and analytics solutions. He also has regulatory experience, having served as the head of supervisory stress-testing and analytics in a banking regulator from 2020 to 2021.
Ilya holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, and a master’s in quantitative finance. Outside of work, he enjoys composing music and teaching his son chess.
