The child protection organization ChildFund Deutschland has been helping children in need around the world for more than 40 years. It supports these children and their families in the areas of livelihood security and nutrition, education, health and hygiene, as well as providing emergency aid in crisis situations. From direct support for schoolchildren to agricultural projects that uplift entire communities, ChildFund Deutschland is dedicated to creating lasting change. By protecting and supporting children and empowering their families, it strives to establish stable and resilient environments where children can thrive.
To support ChildFund in its important mission, we worked with the team for six weeks to create a new corporate fundraising strategy and comprehensive process to target companies. The organization had relied primarily on private donations and individual child sponsorships to fund its projects. Recognizing the need for more stable income streams, it is now focusing on building corporate partnerships. To facilitate this, we developed a robust fundraising strategy, complete with a compelling value proposition tailored for corporate partners. We explored various models of cooperation to ensure mutual benefits and alignment with ChildFund’s vision. This effort resulted in a documented process that lays the foundation for long-lasting relationships and collaborations with corporate entities. A key outcome of this project is a professional pitch deck designed for use in corporate fundraising. Additionally, we have established internal processes to standardize communications with corporate partners, thus building key capabilities for corporate fundraising.
Working with Oliver Wyman was great and showed us exciting new perspectives. My team and I were also impressed by the speed with which we achieved initial resultsAlexander Busl, Co-CEO, ChildFund Deutschland
The pitch deck produced through this project is a powerful tool in ChildFund’s corporate fundraising efforts, effectively showcasing the substantial impact and benefits of partnering with the organization. It articulates ChildFund’s vision, highlights ongoing projects, and details the advantages of corporate involvement, motivating potential partners to support ChildFund’s objectives. Moreover, the standardized communication processes we have established with corporate partners ensure that ChildFund can efficiently manage and nurture these relationships, enhancing the potential for sustained support and collaboration. These improvements in corporate fundraising capabilities position ChildFund to effectively engage with business partners and secure additional funding.
Working with ChildFund was a truly rewarding experience. It was inspiring to see how efficiently the team developed a holistic concept, process, and value proposition for engaging with potential corporate partners. Overall, our project and the revised fundraising strategy have equipped ChildFund to diversify its funding sources and forge significant partnerships with corporate entities. This strategic shift not only solidifies a more stable financial base for its initiatives but also broadens its reach, potentially amplifying its impact in child protection efforts.
