Viknesh Sivalingam is a partner in our global Corporate Finance and Advisory Practice, and is based in New York. He joined Oliver Wyman straight out of university and has had the opportunity to throw himself into a variety of different challenges and opportunities faced by a myriad of businesses (as promised on every consulting brochure). His primary focus today is on transaction support for alternative investment firms and corporates. He has experience in a variety of transaction-related topics including corporate M&A strategy, pre-transaction opportunity development and screening, commercial due diligences, and portfolio company value creation.
Vik has a strong interest in the impact technology has on the way we live and work and has worked with a number of players in the Technology sector, ranging from smaller start-ups seeking growth capital to MNCs looking for support around their transaction strategy. He additionally is a founding member of the Oliver Wyman Fintech Programme that engages with multiple leading Fintechs based in London in a series of “Dragon’s Den” style events.
Outside of work, Vik is an aspiring yogi despite displaying a conspicuous lack of flexibility. While the prospect of working with investors and businesses continues to excite him, he hopes to return to university at some point in the future to pursue a doctorate in philosophy, having had a taste for it in his undergraduate years when he read Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.
