With more than a decade of experience in professional services, as well as practice and leadership support, Sonia brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Oliver Wyman. As a senior business impact manager, she helps drive the success of the Private Equity, Merger and Acquisitions (M&A), and the Financial Infrastructure, Technology, and Services (FITS) Practices.
She supports leadership teams, executes strategic initiatives, and facilitates effective decision-making. Her role involves defining and implementing strategy across practices, managing departmental operations, ensuring commercial effectiveness, and steering project management efforts. She also works with support departments to achieve operational excellence and leads the dedicated infrastructure team.
My diverse experience across different functions, industries and capabilities, as well as at various levels of the firm, has equipped me with a rich knowledge base. I can leverage this to provide valuable insights and unique perspectives to leadership teams, which are essential for effective practice management
Prior to her current role, Sonia also has experience managing and supporting other industry practices, such as Retail and Business Banking, and Retail and Consumer Goods. She also has expertise in human capital roles, such as talent management, staffing and recruiting, which enables her to drive organizational success. Before joining Oliver Wyman, she worked as a recruiting manager at Legal & General, where she oversaw the recruitment process and selected the best talent for the organization.
She loves physical activity and adventure, and has hiked the Inca trail, Kilimanjaro, and Patagonia. She also enjoys barre, boxing and cycling. When she is not working or exercising, Sonia likes to spend time with her family and friends, try out new restaurants, and dance to Latin and R&B music.
