With more than 12 years of experience across various sectors, Rodrigo's expertise lies in energy, strategic planning, and performance management. He has a proven track record of leading complex projects and optimizing business performance.
Recently, Rodrigo developed a biofuels strategy — aligning biofuels availability with decarbonization objectives — for a major mining company and led an energy transition initiative for a Brazilian green champion. He also spearheaded projects enhancing safety and operational risk management at a major mining company and assessing a logistic player’s resilience to climate change impacts.

Notably, Rodrigo successfully led a $250 million power purchase agreement with a prominent wind generator and managed power optimization strategies for two major Brazilian industrial firms, overseeing generation assets. He has also strengthened energy commercial strategies for a significant chemical company in Brazil, and led the participation in an auction to sell electricity to the government, representing a remarkable $300 million upside for a major Brazilian conglomerate.
Rodrigo holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, and a Master’s degree in Business Economics from São Paulo School of Economics. Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, he held roles at Dow Chemical, Votorantim Cimentos and Votorantim Energy (now Auren).
Outside work, he is passionate about sports, including triathlon, running, tennis, and various outdoor activities. He believes these pursuits cultivate discipline, determination, and balance in his life.
