Over his three-decade career, Richard has launched successful businesses, practices, and teams that delivered consistent growth and value across Australia and Asia.
He is a strong leader who builds collaborative cultures that inspire teams to achieve their highest potential and capitalize on new business opportunities. Before joining Oliver Wyman, Richard founded his own firm and was a partner at Ernst & Young, a practice leader at KPMG, and a financial advisor at Morgans Financial Limited.

Richard’s broad experience includes serving as appointed actuary for numerous organizations and providing strategic advisory, actuarial, and analytical support to clients in both the public and private sectors. His expertise covers a wide range of traditional and innovative work, including data analytics for corporations, climate modelling for energy companies, federal government advice for specific agencies, and social benefits modeling.
An economics graduate of Macquarie University, Richard is a fellow of the Actuaries Institute and has recently earned a graduate diploma in financial planning from Kaplan Professional. He is the author and co-author of several papers presented at industry conferences.
Outside of work, he is passionate and enthusiastic about his hobbies, including table tennis and bass guitar. Richard is now part of a classical music quartet.
