Paula is the general counsel, chief compliance officer, and chief of staff of Oliver Wyman Group.
She joined the legal and compliance department of Marsh & McLennan Companies in 2003, serving as the second lawyer supporting the Oliver Wyman Group businesses. She was appointed deputy general counsel in 2010, general counsel in 2012, and chief of staff in 2024.
During her time at Oliver Wyman, Paula has advised the firm’s senior leaders on a wide range of business matters, including a number of firm acquisitions, strategic hires, and geographic expansion, in support of Oliver Wyman’s growth strategy. She has also held various responsibilities within the Marsh McLennan legal, compliance and public affairs department. From 2017 to 2021, she was the head of enterprise risk management for Marsh McLennan and oversaw the company’s risk management department.

Prior to joining the firm, Paula was a mergers and acquisitions lawyer with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, and prior to that, with Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts.
Paula holds an AB in psychology and political science from Duke University and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
When not working, Paula cheers on her daughters’ soccer teams and runs through Central Park in New York City. The highlight of her athletic accomplishments was finishing the New York City marathon, which was her first marathon — and might be her last.
