Miguel is a partner in our Communications, Media, and Technology (CMT) Practice.
His journey in Oliver Wyman began in 2000 when he joined the Lisbon office as an associate. He later moved to Brazil where he was made partner in 2007. In 2010, Miguel left Oliver Wyman, to create his own consulting company, taking on a role as chief sales operator at Sanofi Brazil. He also co-founded Izicap, a fintech startup, based in Nice, that serves small and medium-sized enterprises, with partnerships with the most respected banks and acquirers in France and Italy. After his hiatus, Miguel rejoined Oliver Wyman in 2023.
His vast experience has seen him focus on telecommunication industry topics, including launch operations in countries such as Portugal, Italy, Morocco, and Brazil. His expertise also includes working across customer value management (CVM), network optimization, regulatory affairs and corporate restructuring. In addition, he has also ventured outside the CMT industry with work in agribusiness, airlines, and oil and gas.

Miguel is a telecommunications engineer, and holds a Master’s Degree in Operations Research, as well as a MBA and Master’s in Biotechnology Management and in Bioengineering Systems.
Multilingual, he is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French, and has a basic knowledge of Italian. While currently living in Portugal, Miguel and his wife, who is from São Paulo, are moving back to Brazil leaving behind their four adult children, two dogs and 5,000 books (a new personal library will be started in Brazil).
