Michael is a partner in our Financial Services Practice. His recent work includes advising banks and market infrastructure players on strategy development and digital operating model transformation, including the creation of new businesses. He is also deeply involved in Oliver Wyman's projects looking at capital markets development in emerging economies and distributed finance businesses strategies.

Michael is committed to the Oliver Wyman impact promise – closely working with clients along the entire change journey or seeding and development of new businesses. Michael is actively working on projects that look at the revolutionary change in capital markets stemming from the broader use of distributed ledger technology (DLT) and smart contract technology.
Michael is also a keen supporter of financial education. He has collaborated with education charities in developing financial literacy programs for children and adults in Latin America.

Born in Germany, educated in his home country and the UK, Michael had travelled extensively with Oliver Wyman, adding to his vast international experience. 10 years ago, he started the firm's Financial Services business in Brazil and currently divides his time between Rio de Janeiro and New York. Outside of work, Michael enjoys cycling, swimming, farming, and art.
