Matthew is an engagement manager in our Private Capital Practice.

He brings in-depth experience in strategy, due diligence, pricing, sales and marketing (PSM), and value creation engagements. With his expertise across the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) lifecycle and as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Matthew offers a unique ability to support his clients throughout the transaction, from pre-deal to post-deal transformation.

Having worked across various industries and global markets, Matthew and his team strive to understand the market, identify growth levers within the business, and translate those insights into support for post-deal transformation engagements.

Matthew excels in helping his clients tackle their most complex challenges. He cultivates a deep understanding of the business and market, leveraging his technical skills and industry knowledge to develop robust solutions that unlock long-term value.

In this challenging economy, the investor market continues to become more competitive. To maximize value for our clients, Oliver Wyman must support the entire transactional lifecycle, using pre-deal insights to enhance post-deal opportunities

Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Matthew specialized in providing accounting and financial due diligence advisory services. He led buy and sell-side transactions for private equity firms, pension funds, and strategic buyers, with enterprise values reaching up to $40 billion. His focus industries included retail, industrial, and manufacturing, among others.

Matthew holds an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Outside of work, he enjoys being outdoors. Whether competing in triathlons, getting out on a basketball and tennis court, or hitting the links for a round of golf, Matthew sees getting active as a way of enjoying life to the fullest.
