Matt leads Oliver Wyman’s business across Asia Pacific, bringing 30 years of experience as a consultant and a senior banking executive.
Currently based in Singapore, he previously led our Financial Services Practice in Europe and established our Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Practice in Asia.
Moving to Asia in 2006 with my wife and four young children was a turning point for me. Building our CIB practice in the region was a real personal and professional adventure - I learned a huge amount on how to be most valuable to clients and how to build a team around a sense of collective endeavor
Throughout his career, Matt has led several major institutions through a range of strategic and transformational situations. His work has included advising clients in pursuing organic and inorganic growth opportunities, as well as in responding to disruption whether driven by technology, competition, regulation, or the geopolitical context.
I am hugely excited by the opportunities for our firm and clients in Asia-Pacific. The region continues to transform with factors such as evolving supply chains, technological development, and the net-zero transition, combining to create enormous opportunity but also considerable complexity
Matt holds a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge in Economics and Modern Languages, and speaks French and Spanish fluently.
