Livia is a director at Oliver Wyman Vector in our Transportation and Services Practice, based in Atlanta.
She leads Oliver Wyman Vector’s market intelligence team, which produces Oliver Wyman’s industry-leading annual "Fleet And MRO Forecast" report. This report projects both short and long-term outlooks for the global aircraft fleet and the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) spend attributable to these aircraft.
Her team plays a pivotal role in the Transportation and Services Practice by providing data, analysis, and forecasts across the aviation and aerospace sectors. This support is instrumental for client engagements and the publication of industry reports. In addition to this, Livia also provides subject matter expertise to the aviation and aerospace and defense teams.
The aviation industry has always fascinated me — the multitude of processes required for each flight, a feat that is replicated thousands of times daily across the globe, which we often take for granted. Having the opportunity to provide insights to this beautiful ballet is gratifying
Livia's career began at Delta Air Lines in technical operations, where she progressively assumed roles of greater responsibility within their propulsion and component engineering organizations. With more than 15 years of experience, she has worked with operational reliability, aircraft acquisitions, entry into service, fleet and shop management, and fleet forecasting and budgeting.
Livia’s passion for aviation was sparked early in her life by her father, a commercial pilot. Born in Brazil, and raised in the Atlanta area, Livia is fluent in Portuguese and conversant in Spanish. She holds a BS and MS in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition, she is truly passionate about women in aviation and engineering, actively participating in organizations that promote diversity within the industry.
Outside the office, Livia enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, golfing, and skiing.
