Jason Kuehn is a Vice President in Oliver Wyman's offices in Princeton. He has eleven years’ experience working in the railroad industry leveraged by 19 years of global consulting to network transportation companies.
His expertise is in transportation network scheduling and performance improvement, including work for DB Schenker Rail in Germany, SBB Cargo in Switzerland, Green Cargo in Sweden and Transnet Freight Rail South Africa, focusing on network restructuring to improve asset utilization for infrastructure, locomotives, and wagons. Another relevant project for Jason is a major barge line on the Mississippi River to review their network strategy to help them adopt scheduled operations as a key element of their business strategy providing more reliable service and better asset utilization.
Jason also reviewed the Desert Xpress Los Angeles to Las Vegas High Speed Rail project for a client and has written a couple of papers and presentations on High Speed and Passenger Rail development in North America.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, Jason worked for the Southern Pacific as a Managing Director of Network and Corporate Development, with responsibility for service design, costing, and network planning. He also worked for the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway as a General Manager of Marketing and Sales, as well as for the Consolidated Rail Corporation as a marketing manager.
Jason has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a minor in Transportation Engineering from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and an Master in Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School, Dartmouth College.
