Giambattista, known as “GB,” is a senior partner and member of the leadership team in our Insurance and Asset Management Practice, based in Milan, Italy.
During his 30-year career, he has served insurance companies, banks, and asset managers contributing to more than 500 strategic and performance improvement projects. He has developed a deep understanding of growth and innovation. His business acumen, industry expertise, and relentless commitment to delivering impact have generated over $3 billion in economic value for his clients.
His key areas of expertise include growth strategy, digital and advanced analytics, innovation, performance transformation, risk and capital management, and reinsurance. GB has also participated in multiple buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions joint-ventures, as well as post-merger integrations, catering to both trade buyers and financial sponsors.

GB is a true “global citizen,” having worked in over 40 countries across North and South America, Europe, China, and Asia. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian. Recently, GB returned to his home country, Italy, after a 15-year stint in New York.
He holds a BS/MS in Electronic Engineering, graduating magna cum laude, from Bologna University in Italy in 1992. He also holds an MBA with honors from UCLA in Los Angeles, which he received in 1997.
Outside of work, GB enjoys various outdoor activities, particularly in the mountains, and enjoys refueling with delicious food.
