Franco, based in Milan, is a partner in our Financial Services Practice.

Beginning his professional career in 1992, he has more than 25 years of management consulting experience, specializing in financial services within a European context.

In 2006, Franco was appointed general manager of Banca Popolare Italiana where he was responsible for the post-merger integration that led to the formation of Banco Popolare, the fourth-largest retail banking group in Italy.

In this role, Franco managed the turnaround of Banca Popolare Italiana and Banco Popolare, concentrating on the relaunch of the retail core business, the design and management of Bancass and consumer finance joint ventures, post-merger integration, and the management of the bail-in program until its successful completion at the end of 2010.

Since his return in strategic consulting, he has been instrumental in developing industrial plans for large banks and insurance companies, resulting in extensive transformation programs. His areas of expertise include realizing the full potential of commercial and private banking, wealth management, advanced analytics and digital transformation, and zero-based redesign programs. He has also worked extensively on the restructuring program for the Greek Banking System.

Passionate about sustainability, Franco has supported leading non-profit institutions in developing best practices for impact investment, full potential growth programs, and cross-industry collaborations. His primary focus is on diversity inclusion and gender protection. In December 2006, he was honored with the title of Commendatore of the Italian Republic.

Franco graduated cum laude with a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan and earned an MBA at INSEAD, in Fontainebleau.

Outside of work, Franco is an avid biker and sailor, enjoys hiking, and cherishes spending time with family and friends.
