Dean Rootenberg is a senior principal in the Actuarial Life Practice, based in Toronto, Canada.

Dean finds it immensely fulfilling to make a positive impact through his work. One of the most memorable moments of his career was when he and his team had the opportunity to use data for good, identifying people who were heading towards financial distress and providing them with the necessary support.
He has a passion for mentoring and educating others, championing data literacy and teaching continuing education courses in data and analytics at a Canadian university. Outside of his professional life, he is an avid guitar player and builder, enjoys cooking, and even helped start a BBQ restaurant. He is also actively involved in the parent council at his daughter’s school and loves his two dogs.
