Based in Chicago, Chris is a partner in our Digital and Corporate and Institutional Banking Practices, and head of the Technology Dexterity platform in the Americas.
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Chris was head of transformation at a major global bank and a principal at several large consulting firms. He has founded four companies and was an early employee at two others that ultimately grew into global organizations.
With his deep expertise in financial services and his passion for digital transformation, Chris identifies ways in which organizations can leverage advanced technology to increase revenue, optimize costs, and reduce risk. He advises clients on solving their most difficult business problems with digital approaches, such as scalable architectures, semantic data, machine learning, low code platforms, software as a service (SaaS), and public cloud.
I’m really a geek at heart and love playing with new technology and figuring out how it can be used to make people’s lives easier and more rewarding. The fun challenge is aligning technology to solve a complicated, multi-faceted business problem in a way that hasn’t been done before
For banks and asset managers, he also advises in the areas of front office, mid, and back office operational processes and systems, regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering, risk, stress testing, legal, and audit, with a specific focus on capital markets, commercial banking, and non-financial risks.
He regularly engages with clients on change management processes, including agile, and helping clients understand the risks of executing enterprise change at scale.
Chris studied at the University of Waterloo in Canada and has dual degrees: a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Systems Design Engineering. He is an avid skier and scuba diver, balancing a love of mountains and the ocean.
