As a Project Manager in our Dubai Office, Amal has worked on large transformation projects for public sector organizations in the GCC including a center of government, a revenue authority and a school of government. She is about to take a career shift and join our London office as a Private Capital Associate by the end of 2022.
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, Amal worked at both the public and private sectors. She was an investment analyst at a sovereign wealth fund where she worked on growth equity transactions and supported in portfolio management and fundraising. She worked at the CEO office of a telco operator as part of a taskforce leading a 3-year turnaround project. And she worked with a semigovernment organization which entailed providing training and coaching for women entrepreneurs.
I have high curiosity to understand how the world works. I believe every experience leads to change and in change we can find growth. Consulting is a great place for the curious ones, like me, to feed their explorer spirit.
Amal served on the first cohort of Oliver Wyman’s Global Leadership Team Council, which is a group of non-executive colleagues from across the firm that works alongside leadership, and she co-led the India, Middle East and Africa employee resource group for gender equity, Women at Oliver Wyman.
As a young adult, Amal was a dancer, dance teacher and choreographer. She participated in several dance residencies across the world and received a few scholarships, most notably the DanceWeb Scholarship by ImPulzTans Vienna in 2012. She has been practicing yoga for 10 years and she occasionally leads yoga classes for Oliver Wyman colleagues during business trips.
