Alexandre is a senior advisor based in Paris. He is an established leader in the transportation industry with a decade-long career in the private and public sectors. He provides strategic advise, also supporting the expansion of C-level relationships.

He is currently a board member of Simaero, JetAirlines and RyadhAir, and previously chairman of the board of directors of Europcar between 2021 and 2022. Prior to that, he was CEO of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) between 2016 and 2021, and chairman and CEO of Air France and Air France KLM between 2011 and 2016.

Alexandre began his career in 1988 at the Conseil d'Etat as an auditor, and later as deputy general secretary. In 1993, he became an adviser and deputy director of the cabinet of Nicolas Sarkozy, then Minister of Budget and Communication. In 1995, he joined Thalès, formerly Thomson-CSF, where he held several executive positions. In 2009, he joined the cabinet of Christine Lagarde, then Minister for the Economy, Finance and Employment, as chief of staff before joining Air France in 2011.

He holds a degree from Ecole Nationale d’Administration and Polytechnique, and worked as a professor of economics at Ecole Polytechnique (1989-2001) and IEP Paris (1989-1993). He was also a member of the board of directors of Vivendi, Arkema, Edenred and Morgan Stanley France.
