We’re proud to announce that our media partner and sport industry lead, Tony Simpson, has been included in the Empower 100 Executives Role Model List 2023. This recognition is for efforts in promoting racial and ethnic diversity and inclusion, both within and outside the workplace.
Tony is Oliver Wyman's first UK Partner of Afro-Caribbean descent. He is paving the way for other colleagues to follow the leadership path by co-chairing the firm’s Professional Black Network, mentoring many of the firm’s Black consultants in the UK and USA, and championing the recruitment and development of diverse talent.
He also drives broader societal impact as a board director and trustee for the Drive Forward Foundation. This organization helps care leavers, many of whom are Black and Asian, find employment opportunities. As a trustee and a person of color, sitting on the Board of Birmingham Museums and Galleries, Tony supports cultural alignment that reflects the diverse heritage of Britain’s second city.
Tony is also passionate about inclusive performance and driving inclusion in sport. He recently led the mandate that resulted in the appointment of the first Black Chief Executive in English football.
