Josefin graduated from the Industrial Engineering and Management Program at KTH in Stockholm, specializing in financial mathematics, and worked within credit research and real estate private equity in parallel to her studies. Apart from the benefit of working at a top-tier management consulting firm, she chose Oliver Wyman because of the people working there, and the very inspiring and friendly atmosphere in the Stockholm office.
My first year at Oliver Wyman has been both challenging and rewarding and I believe my studies at KTH, with a focus on problem solving and critical thinking, have prepared me well for the complex situations our clients face.
Josefin is actively involved in empowering women to fulfill their full potential at work: her master’s thesis was a qualitative field study in Nairobi, Kenya, looking at the impact of development initiatives on women’s empowerment. Her advice for anyone interested in pursuing a career within management consulting is to be curious and open to new challenges.
Life as a management consultant is about solving complex tasks finding solutions in an ever-changing environment and being able to quickly adapt to new situations and work closely as a team are key success factors.
