Dominik originally joined Oliver Wyman in the Munich office. After working in the German speaking market for 4 years he transferred to the Amsterdam office where he works at the intersection of Retail and Consumer Goods and our Digital practice.
In practice that might mean helping his grocery retail clients to improve their customer value proposition through upgrading commercial capabilities — from strategy, tactics, tooling and analytics all the way to execution.
I love how tangible the results of my work are: While we use state-of-the-art tech infrastructure and analytics to solve our client’s challenges, I can just go to my neighborhood supermarket to see how our work is influencing what people buy in the Netherlands every day.
Dominik specializes in large tech-heavy transformation programs often leveraging Oliver Wyman’s own tool suite of commercial decision support and execution tools across assortment, pricing and promotions. In those large transformation programs Dominik and his teams work as a linking pin between the more technology-focused stakeholders and the business counterparts in order to ensure success across both dimensions.
Beyond his commitment to his clients, Dominik likes spending time on developing and growing the rest of the Amsterdam office – especially the Retail and Consumer Practice.
I get a lot of energy from developing and coaching younger colleagues. This career can be very demanding so it is great to see someone grow — personally and professionally — and make their way through the different levels. Playing my part in that as a mentor or sponsor is one of the many things I enjoy about working at Oliver Wyman.
Outside of Oliver Wyman, Dominik loves spending time with his Spanish wife and his son or on his race bike cycling around the Netherlands or Spain.
