A Director with Oliver Wyman’s Implementation Practice in Abu Dhabi, Anton is passionate about enabling government organizations to make quicker and more informed decisions and incentivizing economic growth. He works with private sector organizations primarily focusing on financial institutions and the energy sector.

Anton re-joined Oliver Wyman in 2017 after a three-year tenure with First Abu Dhabi Bank, where he was part of the wholesale banking strategy team and worked as an investment banker. Prior to re-locating to the GCC, Anton was part of Oliver Wyman Financial Services practice where he specialized in retail and wholesale banking and public sector. Before that, he held senior positions in private sector organizations. Anton’s geographic experience spans across the GCC, Europe, and Central Asia.

The GCC region provides a plethora of opportunities. The key question is how to make things happen. The opportunity I see for my clients now is to ensure flawless execution on numerous strategic initiatives and opportunities that have been designed.

Driven to help clients make better decisions and nurture future generations of leaders, Anton capitalizes on his extensive industry and strategy expertise to help clients resolve strategic and implementation issues via enhancement of personnel capabilities, rethinking, improving and automating business processes, setting up robust operating business models, and quantitative problem-solving.

A true believer that every good strategy requires solid implementation, Anton has led numerous initiatives through to fruition. A particularly remarkable experience was when he led the post-merger reorganization program for a leading bank across nine time zones in a single country, meaning his team started the day when their counterparties were already preparing to go home.

Consulting experience and industry expertise have taught me to look at complex problems from different angles, disentangle them, and then speak about them in simple words.

Appreciated for his informal advice, Anton has frequently helped clients to conduct senior interviews. To those just starting off consulting careers, Anton’s advice is to get used to being out of your comfort zone and learn to constantly acquire, modify, and utilize your unique skill set. In his opinion, it’s a profession that you can join at any stage of your career and still find immense value.

Anton has two master-equivalent degrees from Moscow State University and Research University Higher School of Economics in humanities, economics, and finance. An avid learner willing to supplement practical knowledge with state-of-the-art academic thinking, he recently took courses in digital transformation in government, persuasive communication, and leading economic growth at the Harvard Kennedy School.
