    Calibrate CEO Wants New Standard Of Care To Treat Obesity

      Isabelle Kenyon wants to overhaul how the healthcare industry thinks about and treats obesity.

      “We want to set a new standard of care for obesity treatment,” Kenyon, Founder and CEO of Calibrate, said during an interview at the 2023 Oliver Wyman Health Innovation Summit. “We actually don’t think there is a standard of care for obesity treatment today.”

      Calibrate addresses the underlying physiology of the disease, Kenyon said, adding that GLP-1s can be a catalyst but should not be viewed as long-term treatment. She also said it is critical that industry stakeholders publish results of their efforts — not just on outcomes but also on health economics.
