Gather firsthand insights from Brian Duperreault - former Marsh & McLennan Companies chief who was recently named the new President, CEO, and Director of AIG - during his discussion with Oliver Wyman’s Matt Leonard. "The Internet of Things can change insurance with real-time diagnostics and constant risk data," Duperreault explained, adding "the broker and agent are not going away. The buyer still wants them." In a press release related to his new role at AIG, he noted: "Putting data science and technology to work in our industry has been on my agenda for some time....I’ve learned that cross-industry partnerships - what’s now called insurtech - are the way to go."

China InsureTech Report
During InsureTech Connect 2016, Oliver Wyman launched a joint report with ZhongAn, China’s first online-only insurer, about the opportunities in the Chinese InsureTech market.
In China, an underdeveloped insurance market enjoying double-digit growth, the disruptions triggered by InsureTech are causing an insurance industry revolution. One reason for the impact is the fast adoption and heavy use of online ecosystems by the Chinese. In addition, InsureTech is underpinned by a regulatory environment supportive of innovation.
The result has been a surge in new InsureTech players creating disruptive products, services, and business models. Some of these are integrating insurance products into online ecosystems and fostering groundbreaking innovations.
